Veterans Memorial Park of America marked a major milestone at its Veterans Day ceremony on Tuesday, celebrating the opening of its new Veterans Community Outreach Center and announcing its next major project.
The park held a ribbon-cutting for the center, one year after breaking ground on the same date. The building which is the first on the park grounds is designed to connect veterans with the support they need, from help filing VA claims to basic computer assistance. The board hopes to bring the Veterans Affairs mobile clinic to the site in the future.
The center includes a meeting room, kitchenette, two restrooms and an office, with a wraparound porch and rocking chairs outside.
Board members, Representative Brenden Jones, Superior Court Judge Ashley Gore, veterans and community members attended the Nov. 11, 2025 event to celebrate the new center and honor veterans for their service.
The ceremony was followed by a meal served free of charge for the veterans in attendance.
